Doctors
Dr Glenn Goldstein
Glenn Goldstein, M.D.

Dr. Glenn Goldstein is the Director of the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in Leawood, Kansas. Dr. Goldstein has been in practice in Kansas City for over 20 years. His training in internal medicine and dermatology was at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He subsequently completed his Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Goldstein is a board certified fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Board of Dermatology. His practice is distinguished by being one of the few certified training sites for Mohs Surgery in the country.

Dr. Goldstein is the past president of the American Cancer Society and the Kansas City Dermatologic Society. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the KU Medical Center. He is the author of over 40 medical publications.

Dr Shawn Sabin
Shawn Sabin, M.D.

Dr. Shawn Sabin is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She did her internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and her dermatology residency at the University of Iowa. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

After running a solo dermatology practice in Dubuque, Iowa for six years, she joined Dr. Goldstein in 1998. She completed her Mohs and Dermatologic Fellowship in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Sabin is a clinical instructor in the dermatology department at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery and a member of the Kansas City Dermatological Society. She is a volunteer with The Cancer Institute and does skin cancer screenings for the community on a regular basis. Dr. Sabin has a full-time general dermatology and Mohs surgery practice in the Lee's Summit and Leawood locations.

Dr. Karen Neubauer
Karen Neubauer, D.O.

Dr. Karen Neubauer, a board certified dermatologist, is a graduate of Truman State University. She earned her medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Dermatology at Deaconess Medical Center in West St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Neubauer specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Neubauer also performs laser surgery.

Dr. Neubauer is a diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Neubauer has a full-time practice in Leawood and Lee's Summit. She will begin her Mohs fellowship with Dr. Goldstein in July 2007. She is an associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery."

Dr Shawn Sabin
Celeste Angel, D.O.

Dr. Celeste Angel is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she earned a Masters in Public Health. She graduated from the University of Health Sciences of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her internship and her dermatology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine/Frankford Hospitals.

Dr. Angel has many honors and awards including Chief Dermatology Resident at the Frankford Hospitals.

Dr. Angel is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Angel is a general dermatologist at our Leawood office.

Dr. Mark Fleischman
Mark Fleischman, M.D.

Dr. Mark Fleischman, a Board Certified Dermatologist, earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. After his residency, he completed a Mohs Surgery Fellowship in Kansas City.

He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Kansas Dermatology Association.

Dr. Fleischman specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatologic surgery, and psoriasis.

James San Filippo
James San Filippo, M.D.

Dr. San Filippo, a board certified dermatologist, is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and did his Transitional Residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio and his Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He was Co-chief Dermatology resident at SUNY Buffalo.

Dr. San Filippo has written numerous research articles and has been published in several dermatology journals. His areas of interest are general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. San Filippo is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, National Psoriasis Foundation and American Medical Association.

Dr. San Filippo is a general dermatologist at our Lee's Summit office.


Dr Shawn Sabin
Jamie L. McGinness, M.D.

Dr. Jamie McGinness, a board certified dermatologist, is a graduate of the University of Missouri--Columbia School of Medicine. He did his internship at the University of Missouri—Columbia and his dermatology residency at the University of Virginia. Dr. McGinness completed his fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery with Dr. Goldstein in 2007.

Dr. McGinness has received many honors and awards, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has been published in several medical journals and made numerous presentations.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medial Society. He is an associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. McGinness has a full-time general dermatology and Mohs surgery practice in the Lee’s Summit and Leawood locations.


Dr Shawn Sabin
Robyn F. Wetter, M.D.

Dr. Robyn Wetter, a board eligible dermatologist, earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. She completed her internship and dermatology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center where she also served as Chief Resident in the Division of Dermatology.

Dr. Wetter has received many honors and scholarships, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She has published several articles in dermatology journals and has given many presentations. Her areas of interest are general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Wetter is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Skin Cancer Foundation and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Wetter is a general dermatologist at our Lee's Summit office and is currently completing her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery with Dr. Goldstein.


PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANTS

Angela Bosch
Angela Bosch, P.A.-C, M.P.A.S.

Angela Bosch earned her physician assistant (PA) degree from Wichita State University and became board certified in 2001. She obtained her master's degree in PA studies from the University of Nebraska in 2002.

Prior to joining Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in 2004, Angela practiced pediatric dermatology. Angela now specializes in general dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Chris Lavers
Chris Lavers, P.A

Chris Lavers, Physician Assistant, graduated from the Inter-service Physician Assistant Program, University of Nebraska College of Medicine.

He initially spent three years in Family Practice at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, while he was in the U.S. Air Force. He then became the first Physician Assistant to join the Oklahoma University Department of Dermatology after nine years of military service.

He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. His focus is general dermatology.

Chris Lavers
Andy Dean, MMS, PA-C

Andy Dean, MMS, PA-C, is a native of Maryville, MO and a graduate of Truman State University. He earned his master's degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University (Downers Grove, IL). He joined Prescott Dermatology (Prescott, AZ) in 2002 and practiced there until joining our group in 2005. Andy specializes in general dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants, and is board-certified.

NURSES

Terri A. Gatschet, R.N.
Administrative Nurse Manager

Terri Gatschet joined our practice in 2005 with over ten years experience a Registered Nurse. Terri graduated from Longview Community College and Penn Valley Community College with a degree in nursing. Terri has over 15 years experience in administrative management paired with strong nursing experience in Pediatrics and Peri Operative Nursing. Terri is licensed in Kansas and Missouri.

Terri manages over 20 nurses at Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, at both the Leawood, Kansas and Lee’s Summit, Missouri locations. She directs all medical supply ordering and scheduling. Terri is a member of the American Association of Operating Room Nurses and a lifetime member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Terri was a 2005 nominee for the “Heart of Healthcare Award” sponsored by the University of Kansas School of Nursing. This program recognizing nurses for their outstanding contributions to patient care, their profession and the community.
Alice Gowler R.N.

Alice Gowler graduated from Research School of Nursing in 1974 as a registered nurse. Alice has worked as a charge nurse at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. and in Manhattan Ks. taking care of renal transplants and general surgery patients. She also worked for 10 years as a hemodialysis nurse. Her experience varied from chronic to acute dialysis, training patients for home dialysis, and clinical coordinator duties.

She began working for Dr. Goldstein in November 1987 as a surgical scrub nurse. She still does patient care but is primarily responsible for tracking lab work for all the doctors, taking phone messages and scheduling surgeries for Dr. Goldstein.

Sandy Freeborn, R.N.
Sandy Freeborn graduated from the Research School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1978. She worked as a nurses aid throughout her years in nursing school. Her first position was at Research Medical Center as a charge nurse on a surgical unit, specializing in kidney transplants and general surgery. Sandy then worked for seven years at the Kansas City Dialysis Center as a hemodialysis nurse, doing chronic and acute dialysis and training patients for home dialysis.

In 1985, she joined Dr. Justin Shields as scrub nurse for Mohs surgery until he moved his practice to Florida.

In 1987, Sandy was the first employee of Dr. Glenn Goldstein's Mohs surgery practice. Today, Sandy is responsible for patient care and surgery scheduling.
DERMATOPATHOLOGY LAB

Stephen J. Plumb
Stephen J. Plumb, D.O.

Stephen Plumb is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and did his graduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Nova Southeastern University. He did his residency at the University of Iowa where he was chief resident and at the University of Washington where he was the Dermatopathology fellow. Dr. Plumb is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as dermatopathology.

Dr. Plumb worked at Mid America Pathology and Litton Pathology after he completed his pathology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. He has written and published several research articles in the field of dermatopathology.

Dr. Plumb is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, American Pathology Foundation, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Kansas City Dermatology Society and American Society of Dermatopathology. He has many academic awards and has been a volunteer at medical clinics for the homeless.

Olivia Oswald, (HT. A.S.C.P.)

Olivia Oswald has a science degree and is a register histologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Olivia attended Penn Valley Community College, The University of Missouri- Kansas City, and St. Mary's School of Histological Technique. She has been in practice since 1976 in the histological fields of surgical pathology, neuropathology, immunohistochemistry and Moh's surgery. Olivia has been with Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center for nine years as a laboratory supervisor. Olivia is a native of Kansas City. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, National Histology Society, and the Missouri Society of Histotechnology.
Kelli Wyatt (HT)

Kelli Wyatt is a certified histologist by the National Society of Clinical Pathology. She attended Central Missouri State University and is a graduate of the University of Indiana-Purdue. Kelli has been in practice since 1997, in the histologial fields of cytology, surgical pathology, and Moh's surgery. Kelli has been with Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center for the past five years. Kelli was born in Washington D.C., and now resides in Kansas City. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, National Histology Society and the Missouri Society of Histotechnology.

MANAGERS

Jenni Smith, MBA Practice Manager

Jenni Smith received her MBA in Health Care Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jenni is the Practice Manager for Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center. She joined the practice in 2001. She has over 14 years experience in the health care field. Jenni is responsible for all administration and business issues for the practice. She is also a member of the Greater Kansas City Medical Managers Association
